2023 14ers - Holy Cross - Colorado USA

Holy Cross peak - 2023-09-03

sunny 50 °F

overview / intro

After a month break to heal from the last hike, I went out for another long challenge on the Colorado 14,000 foot peaks.

I chose a rarely hiked path - no one usually goes it because it's so tough. It includes a circular loop that goes up four 13,000 foot peaks, and then ends with the summit to Holy Cross at over 14,000 feet. But the views are amazing. It was so much rock hopping and climbing that I didn't stop many times to take pictures. Overall it was about 15 miles in 8 hours and many thousands and thousands of feet of elevation climbing and descending.
