Beach time - Peru

It's summer in Peru, and everyone in Lima tries to escape the city and head to the beaches that are 30 minutes to 3 hours south. Most weekends are packed on the roads; it reminds me of ski season during the winter in Colorado w/ traffic jams for hours.
We have spent several partial weekends at Betty and Carlos' beach house in Asia. It is right in front of the beach in the town of Asia, Peru. There are dedicated shades tents for their house, there's a malecon walkway for 10+ miles along the beach and shores with the other resorts, and there's a beach volleyball court right in front of the house.
For beach volleyball, we have made some good connections. I have played with one of the teens that were on the 18 and under National youth team for beach volleyball. I am trying to connect him up with anyone I still know that coaches college VB in the US. We went to a town on an island south of Lima called Pucusana to play there. Also, have been playing at 6 in the mornings for a few weeks in Lima with a group of guys that play frequently. Most recently I met the coach of the National Peru beach volleyball teams, and I practiced with him.
